Recovery Peer Support Groups
We have a FREE peer-led support group up and running, created for anyone navigating recovery from CFS/ME, long COVID, Fibromyalgia, POTS, Chronic Pain and related conditions.
This is a monthly online group, held in a gentle, non-judgemental space. People attending are at different stages – from newly ill to further along in recovery. Everyone is welcome.
We come together to share stories, reflect on our journeys, and hold space for one another. The group is not therapy, but a space for connection, insight, and hope. It really helps to feel less lonely and celebrate successes.
How It Works
We meet on the first Friday of every month at 5-6pm GMT via Google Meet
The group is peer-led – not facilitated by professionals
You can come just as you are – camera off, lying down, no pressure to speak
Group Agreements
These help guide expectations and keep the space safe for everyone.
We speak from personal experience, not authority
We don’t make declarations about other people’s symptoms, causes or paths
We offer support, not solutions, unless someone directly asks for guidance
Recoverees may share recovery approaches only when invited by the person seeking help
We stay curious rather than prescriptive
We gently remind each other of these agreements when needed
Our Guiding Principles
Trigger Warnings – please gently flag before sharing traumatic content
Emotional Safety – we listen without fixing or judging
Recovery-Minded – we protect grounded hope and avoid messaging that recovery isn't possible
Open Conversation – it’s okay if you don’t feel good about the idea of recovery yet, as long as you're open to others exploring it
Lived Experience Only – we share from our own journeys, knowing that no one path fits all
